ATF All Grain Kits

ATF All Grain Kits

The ATF All Grain Brewing Kits have been carefully formulated and come with a detailed recipe and instructions to help you brew great beer.

The ATF Grainfather Kits have been specifically designed to be brewed on the Grainfather 30L and G70, whereas the ATF All Brewery Kits can be brewed on any brewing set up.

Some of the ATF All Brewery Kits employ whirlpool hopping for an extended period at a set temperature. If you are unable to achieve this with your brewing set up an alternative hop burst recipe is available.

To ensure the target water profile and mash pH is achieved brewing salts are included in each kit for brewers using the following source waters:

  • Paraparaumu/Waikanae/Peka Peka
  • Te Horo
  • Paekakariki
  • Otaki
  • Levin
  • Wellington
  • Rainwater
  • Palmerston North (please refer to the Palmerston North water page for Palmerston Norths water distribution zones)
  • Auckland (please refer to the Auckland Water page for Auckland's water distribution zones)
  • Tauranga
  • Hamilton
  • New Plymouth
  • Christchurch

If you are able to supply a water analysis report showing the amount of Calcium, Magnesium, Sodium, Chloride, and Sulphate in your brewing water, as well as the alkalinity (as CaCO3) or bicarbonate level, and pH, we will adjust the recipe and provide the required brewing salts specifically for you. Just select yes in the dropdown menu under the heading "I will supply a water analysis report".

If any of the minerals in your brewing water is above 50ppm, or if the Sodium level is over 25ppm, please contact us so we can assess whether your brewing water can be adjusted to the target profile of the beer you plan to brew.

The target water profile is provided for brewers using another source water so that the correct mineral/acid additions can be calculated to achieve the target water profile and mash pH. Click here to purchase brewing salts and/or lactic acid. If using chlorinated water we recommend using an activated carbon filter such as our Beer & Water Filtering System with our 0.5 Micron Carbon Water Filter or campden tablets to remove chlorine and/or chloramine from your brewing water.

Please do not hesitate to contact us if you have any questions about the addition of brewing salts or acids.

You may also want to join the All Things Fermented Brewers Group where lots of great information is shared. Members of the group are also eligible for special discounts. Check out the Member Benefits page for all the details.

All ATF kits are only put together when ordered to ensure all ingredients are as fresh as possible. Hops are kept vacuum sealed and refrigerated. Yeast is also kept refrigerated.

All grain is packaged in heavy duty (125 micron) plastic bags that are heat sealed to ensure your grain stays as fresh as possible.
