Why Regular Cleaning is Non-Negotiable

Cleaning your beer lines isn't just a chore; it's critical for quality and safety. Over time, lines accumulate:

• Mould & Bacteria: Can not only affect taste but also pose a health risk.

Neglecting your lines means serving stale, flat-tasting beer and damaging your expensive equipment. A regular cleaning schedule with Brewmaster ensures every pour is fresh, crisp, and flavourful.

• Easy to Use: Simply circulate a 5% solution (100ml in 2 litres of warm water) for 15 minutes, then rinse thoroughly. It’s a quick process for a massive quality payoff.
• Proudly Local: Manufactured in Auckland, NZ, supporting local industry and ensuring a reliable supply.

A heavy-duty cleaning powder designed to remove stubborn residue from beer and spirit bottles. It dissolves grime, yeast rings, and organic buildup, preparing bottles for sterilising. Best used as a strong cleaner before using a sanitising agent.

Instructions:

Using gloves, wash bottles in a solution of 25 g washing powder to 4.5L of hot water, then rinse thoroughly. Cleaner only – sterilise using a BrewMaster sterilising agent.

Ingredients: Alkaline Salts 97.5%.

Potassium Metabisulphite is a sulphur-based compound that is used primarily to sterilise wine and cider making equipment and to protect the finished product. It works by releasing sulphur dioxide (SO2) into the wine, which helps to kill bacteria and inhibit the growth of most wild yeast, ensuring a clean and controlled fermentation.

It can also be used to eliminate both free chlorine and the more stable form, chloramine, from brewing and make-up water.

One gram of potassium metabisulphite will impart approximately 60 parts-per-million of sulphur dioxide (SO2) to each litre of wine. (Please note that this is an approximation; the exact amount of free SO2 can depend on the pH and tannin content of the wine).

As a guide, to treat wine must: Add 0.2g of potassium metabisulphite per litre of juice. Pre-dissolve it in a small quantity of cool water before adding to the must. Allow the must to ventilate in an open container for 24 hours before adding your chosen yeast.

It can also be used as a dependable all-round powdered sanitiser suited to almost any brewing or distilling setup. Ideal for those who want a classic sulphite-based sanitising method that is effective, economical, and widely used in home brewing. Helps prevent spoilage by controlling wild yeast and bacteria on equipment surfaces.

Instructions for use as a sanitiser:

Wash cleaned equipment (fermenters, bottles, siphons, etc.) in a solution of 40 g Potassium Metabisulphite to 4.5 L of warm water. Allow equipment to stand for 30 minutes to dry, then rinse with clean cold water before use.

Ingredients: Potassium Metabisulphite 100%.

The ultimate all-in-one cleaner and steriliser designed to cut through stubborn residue while disinfecting at the same time. Ingredients: Chlorinated Sodium Hypochlorite (5%), Laurel Sulphate.

Take the work out of cleaning corny kegs, carboys and brewing vessels with the Bucket Blaster keg and fermenter cleaner. The Bucket Blaster is a great way to get your kegs, fermenters, fermzilla, carboy's or other brewery gear clean while you attend to other tasks.

Simply set up the keg washer basin with your cleaner or sanitiser, set a keg or carboy on over the jet nozzle, power up pump and let the keg washer do the work.

This unit comes with a 15L bucket which doubles as a storage container when you are not using the system. Some other keg washers come with a very small reservoir making it a pain to move, liquid spills over the sides easily and generally they just do not work as well. This unit has a large 15L bucket making it much less likely for you to spill liquid on your floor.

This system includes a 2000 litre per hour pump, the 15L bucket, a powerful jet nozzle, 3/8 EVABarrier tubing, a Duotight tee piece, a grey and a black ball lock disconnect and the stainless stand.

You can find instructions on how to assemble, operate, and maintain the bucket blaster here.

StellarClean (Powerful Brewery Wash PBW) is a buffered alkaline detergent that has been proven to be more than an effective substitute for caustic soda cleaners. Because of its unique formulation of buffers and mild alkalis, it is safe on skin as well as soft metals such as stainless steel, aluminium, and on plastics. StellarClean uses active oxygen to penetrate carbon or protein soils and is not effected by hard water.

StellarClean has been formulated as a C.I.P. cleaner and is very effective in removing protein soils found on brew kettles, fermenters, conditioning tanks, filters and all packaging areas. The concentrations to remove these soils are typically in the 1% range. However, due to soil and water conditions this concentration will vary. To help in hard water areas StellarClean has been formulated with enough chelators to tolerate hard water over 17 grains.

StellarClean is an excellent choice as a soak cleaner because it does not require excessive heat as do most caustic based cleaners. This product has cleaned brass and copper filters, and industrial aluminium surfaces successfully.

Many brewers just use pure sodium percarbonate, however this as a single ingredient is not effective across a wide range of soiling. As a result if you repeatedly use 100% sodium percarbonate you will eventually start to notice a build up of grime, scale, oils which sodium percarbonate alone is not effective against. As a result we recommend this product. StellarClean is effective across a wide range of soiling and contains 8 active ingredients to tackle a wide range of compounds. This ensures your cleaning performance is maintained irrespective of how hard/soft your water is and also what your fermenter contains.

So for a superior formulation that has specifically been made for the beverage industry you really can't go past this very effective cleaning product.

Ingredients:
Ionic Surfactants 40%, Sodium Peroxycarbonate 35%, Sodium Silicate 25%.

StellarSan Sanitiser 500mL - 100% Food Grade non-rinse sanitiser that can be diluted to 333L with the dual chamber mixing bottle compartment. Simply twist off the small measuring compartments lid, squeeze the bottle and it will start to fill that chamber only.

Even when you're finished sanitising your products in a bucket for example, you can still re-use the sanitiser over and over again. Making it a no brainer for your brewing sanitising needs and the cost to you is greatly reduced.

The new and improved phosphoric acid blend provides a unique microorganism killing system, unaffected by organic soils and delivering a high foaming formulation with optimum coverage and penetration. It is perfect for sanitising your brewing equipment and surface areas. Not suitable for use on wood, unglazed porcelain or other porous materials. It is also not suitable for use on soft metal such as aluminium, copper or brass.

Please note that foam is okay! Pour your wort directly onto the foam as this is a foaming non-rinse formulation. The formula can be metabolised by the yeast and will act as a nutrient assisting yeast growth. Follow this procedure and it will not impart any off-odours or flavours.

Unlike other harsh chemical sanitisers, StellarSan is non-staining, and stable over a wide range of temperatures.

Phosphoric acid, which is in this formulation, also helps keep your stainless in good condition and will improve the stainless properties.

Use at a dilution rate of 1.5ml per litre.

A submersible pump, 2000L/H, 3.2m head, which is the same as what is supplied with the Bucket Blaster, if you need a replacement.
