Choose the Right Kit for Your Home Brew Setup
- ATF Grainfather | Brewzilla | Guten 40 Kits – Specifically designed to be brewed on the Grainfather G30, S40, G40 and G70, Brewzilla 35L & 65L (both Gen 3 & Gen 4), and Guten 40.
- ATF All Brewery Kits – Versatile recipes that can be brewed on any home brewing setup, giving you total flexibility.
Whirlpool Hopping? We’ve Got You Covered
Some ATF All Brewery Kits use coolpooling (low temp whirlpool hopping) – an extended hop rest at a precise temperature. If your equipment doesn’t support cool pooling, don’t worry. An alternative recipe is available with every affected kit.
Perfect Your Water Profile & Mash pH with Brewing Salts
Every kit includes brewing salts to help you hit the target water profile and ideal mash pH. During checkout, simply select your water source from a dropdown menu of known profiles.
- Your water source not listed? Choose “Not Listed/Not Required”.
- Have a water analysis report? Select “I will supply a water analysis info” – we’ll adjust the recipe and provide custom brewing salts for your water.
We need these values from your report: Calcium, Magnesium, Sodium, Chloride, Sulphate, alkalinity (as CaCO₃) or bicarbonate, and pH.
Important Mineral Thresholds for Home Brewers
If any mineral in your brewing water exceeds 50 ppm, or your Sodium level is above 25 ppm, please contact us. We’ll assess whether your water can be adjusted to the target beer profile.
For Brewers Using Other Water Sources
The target water profile is provided so you can calculate your own mineral or acid additions.
Removing Chlorine & Chloramine
If you’re using chlorinated tap water, we strongly recommend an activated carbon filter (such as our Beer & Water Filtering System with a 0.5 Micron Carbon Water Filter) or Campden tablets to remove chlorine and chloramine.

Biére de Garde (beer for keeping) is a traditional malt oriented farmhouse ale from Northern France that was typically brewed in early winter then cellared (lagered) until spring and summer when it was then consumed.
The ATF Ambre Biére de Garde is an amber coloured version of the style. A strong malt oriented beer with layers of caramel, dark fruit, and nutty flavours with ripe fruit (especially plum if using Mangrove Jack's Belgian Ale) esters and balanced phenolics.
The beer will benefit from a period of lagering.
Yeast is not included in the kit. We recommend using Mangrove Jack's Belgian Ale or you could also try Fermentis SafAle BE-256.
If crash cooling it is possible to cause the yeast thermal shock, which may be an issue when bottle conditioning, particularly a higher alcohol beer.
