The ATF Cold IPA is a crisp, clean brew with a firm bitterness and refreshingly dry finish. Hopped with Mosaic, Motueka, and Wai-iti, this beer bursts with bright citrus, tropical fruit, and delicate stone fruit aromatics. A bold fusion of clean lager-like drinkability and West Coast IPA hoppiness, this is the ultimate brew for those who love a refreshing yet hop-forward experience.

Yeast is not included in the kit. If fermenting cold we recommend using Fermentis SafLager SH-45. The ideal Lager yeast to enhance hop thiol release, crafting beers with enhanced levels of fruitiness and intensified citrus and tropical notes

Alternatively we recommend using Fermentis SafLager W-34/70 or Lallemand Diamond Lager Yeast.

 If fermenting warm we still recommend using Fermentis SafLager SH-45.(max 18℃) or:

  • the complete grain bill (milled or unmilled)
  • all hop additions
  • brewing salts are included when a water source is selected or a water analysis is provided
  • kettle finings and yeast nutrient.

What’s Included in Every ATF Kit

  • Detailed, step‑by‑step instructions for a smooth brew day
  • For Grainfather kits only – a direct link to download the recipe from the Grainfather website

Brewing Salts & Custom Water Profiles for Homebrewers

To help you achieve the target water profile and optimal mash pH, every kit includes brewing salts. During checkout, you can select your water source from a dropdown menu.

  • Water source not listed? Choose “Not Listed/Not Required”.
  • Have a water analysis report? Select “I will supply a water analysis info” – we’ll adjust the recipe and provide the exact brewing salts for your water.

We need the following from your report: Calcium, Magnesium, Sodium, Chloride, Sulphate, alkalinity (as CaCO₃) or bicarbonate level, and pH.

When to Contact Us About Your Water

If any mineral exceeds 50 ppm or your Sodium level is over 25 ppm, please contact us. We’ll assess whether your water can be adjusted to the target beer profile.

For Brewers Using Other Water Sources

The target water profile is provided so you can calculate your own mineral or acid additions.

Dealing with Chlorinated Water

If you have chlorinated tap water, we recommend using an activated carbon filter (like our Beer & Water Filtering System with a 0.5 Micron Carbon Water Filter) or Campden tablets to remove chlorine and chloramine.
