ATF Lawnmower Lager - Grainfather | Brewzilla | Guten 40L

No reviews

The ATF Lawnmower Lager is a great easy drinking beer. It is soft on the palate with a dry refreshing finish, a gentle bitterness and very mild floral citrus hop flavour and aroma.

Yeast is not included in the kit. We recommend using  Fermentis Saflager S-189 if fermenting cold.

If you are unable to perform a cold fermentation you can ferment warm (20℃) using Mangrove Jack's Californian Lager yeast or Fermentis SafLager W-34/70.

Note on Fermentation Temperature

Mangrove Jack's Californian Lager Yeast

Mangrove Jack's Californian Lager yeast is a unique lager strain that has the ability to ferment at ale temperatures and still provide a typical lager flavour profile.

Fermentis SafLager W-34/70

Sensory testing performed by Fermentis on W-34/70 shows that it is a very robust yeast capable of providing a clean neutral flavour profile across a wide range of fermentation temperatures (12 - 20).  Click here to download the Fermentis iPhone app for more information.

Note on Water Profile

The recommended water profile for this beer is very soft with no more than 7ppm of any mineral.

The beer may be brewed using other water sources, but may not have the same soft delicate mouthfeel and bitterness. Rainwater, reverse osmosis water, or bottled spring water is ideal.
