The ATF Vienna Lager is a reddish amber coloured malt forward beer that showcases Vienna malt’s toasty character. It has a full malt flavour with a mild sweetness and dry finish. There is sufficient bitterness to balance the beers malty character and a low amount of earthy grassy noble hop aroma.
Yeast is not included in the kit. We recommend using two packets of Mangrove Jack's Bavarian Lager yeast if fermented cold.
If you are unable to perform a cold fermentation you can ferment warm (20℃) using one packet of Mangrove Jack's California Lager yeast or one packet of Fermentis SafLager W-34/70.
Selecting the yeast from the dropdown box above will add one packet to your cart. Please click the + symbol beside the amount to increase this to two packets.
Note on Fermentation Temperature
Mangrove Jack's California Lager Yeast
Mangrove Jack's California Lager yeast a unique lager strain that has the ability to ferment at ale temperatures and still provide a typical lager flavour profile.
Fermentis SafLager W-34/70
Sensory testing performed by Fermentis on W-34/70 shows that it is a very robust yeast capable of providing a clean neutral flavour profile across a wide range of fermentation temperatures (12℃ - 20℃). Click here to download the Fermentis iPhone app for more information.
