The oats are germinated in the same way as Big O Malt, then roasted in small batches to ensure even saccharification and colour, just as crystal malt. Gladfield Golden Oat is crystalised in their own husk giving you better lautering, and adding a creamy texture and a beautiful orange hue to your beer.
