This kit includes malt and hops that require steeping.

Yeast is not included in the kit. We recommend using Froth Buddy (Assumed Origin: Sierra Nevada), or Lallemand's BRY-97 West Coast Ale Yeast. You could also try Safale US-05, Lallemand Nottingham High Performance Ale Yeast, or Mangrove Jack's West Coast Yeast.

• Mangrove Jack's Pure Liquid Malt Extract 1.2g
• Mangrove Jack's Brewblend No. 20 1kg
  
• Gladfield Toffee Malt  (requires steeping)
• Simcoe 200g (or Simcoe Cryo 100g) (in two vacuum sealed foil bags; one for steeping & one for dry hopping)

Additional Equipment Needed

• Stainless steel pot large enough to comfortably hold 10 litres.
  
• Stainless steel spoon to stir wort.

Yakima Valley bred Ahtanum™ imparts sweet cedar and floral notes with a distinct citrus aspect. Warmly aromatic and moderately bittering, Ahtanum™ is a hop of distinction.

Ahtanum’s distinct citrus character led to it being used as the single hop in Dogfish Head’s Blood Orange Heffeweisen and Stone Brewing’s Pale Ale.

This Classic American Porter kit comes complete with American ale yeast. This rich, malty American Porter has satisfying toasty, chocolate, toffee flavours from the roasted malts.

For an American Porter add 1.5kg Brick Road Dark malt extract, 1kg Brick Road Dark Dry malt extract (OR 1kg dextrose). Finish with up to 100g of American hops like Cascade, Citra or Columbus for resiny, earthy hop aromas.

This full-bodied dark, malty, Imperial Porter is a truly satisfying beer, with caramel and cocoa sweetness balanced by a medium hop bitterness. Sweetness and body can be added with 1kg lactose. This Craft Beer Kit comes complete with American Ale Yeast and Chinook dry hop pellets.

For an Imperial Porter, we recommend you add: 1.5kg Brick Road Dark malt extract plus 1kg Brick Road Dark Dry malt extract (or 1kg dextrose).

When made with 1.5kg Brick Road Dark malt extract plus 1kg Brick Road DME Dark (dextrose).

When made with 1kg Brick Road Dark malt extract for a lower ABV Porter.

Optional Extra Hop Additions: Add up to 100g of American hops like Simcoe, Citra or Centennial for piney, resiny aromas.

Alternate Yeast Options: US-05, BRY-97, WLP001 California Ale, 1056 American Ale or other clean, highly attenuating American ale yeasts.
