Irish Stouts are a black beer with a pronounced roasted flavour, often similar to coffee. The balance can range from fairly even to quite bitter, with the more balanced versions having a little malty sweetness and the bitter versions being quite dry.
The ATF Extract Recipe - Irish Stout has an great aroma of roasted coffee with hints of delicate floral notes from the East Kent Goldings hops.. With a light body, low ABV, and dry moderate bitter finish, this beer is very very drinkable all year round.
This kit includes malt and hops that require steeping.
Yeast is not included in the kit. We recommend using Lallemand Nottingham yeast or Mangrove jack's New World Strong yeast.

Bentonite is a type of very fine clay that it is formed from volcanic ash and is a common additive used to clarify and fine wines. It’s great for removing protein haze and can be used to remove off aromas.
How Bentonite Works
The negative ions in Bentonite bond with positively charged particles in the wine that are causing a haze.
Because bentonite is negatively charged and dense when it does bond with a positively charged particle they both sink to the bottom of the fermenter.
It is possible to add bentonite to the wine at the beginning of fermentation (just before adding the yeast). This is one of the only fining/clearing agents that can be added pre-fermentation. During fermentation the co2 generated by the fermenting wine will mix the bentonite into the wine.
Bentonite is a fairly dense material and if it is not prepared correctly it will just collect at the bottom of your carboy and do nothing to clarify your wine. Here is the proper procedure for rehydrating and adding bentonite to your wine.
How To Use
Use at a rate of 0.2g - 1g per litre for white wine and 0.2g - 0.5g per litre for red wine. Use of bentonite in red wines should be limited because of its ability to reduce colour by adsorption of anthocyanins.
- Rehydrate the bentonite powder by vigorously mixing in water (10 x weight) at 60℃. The powder will have a tendency to clump together as it absorbs the warm water. Break up as many clumps as you can. This mixture is now referred to as a slurry.
- Store the bentonite slurry in a sanitised and airtight container for at least four hours. This allows the bentonite to become fully hydrated.
- Stir the bentonite slurry in your wine vigorously though not so vigorous that you introduce oxygen into your wine. A mix stir is perfect for this job.
- Re-attach your airlock and let stand for four to seven days or until clear. Most wines take about a week, however, heavy hazing can take longer to clear.The cooler your wine is kept the quicker it will clear.
The ATF Extract Recipe - ESB has a complex malt flavour and aroma consisting of a malty biscuity base with layers of light to dark caramel flavours. In the background are delicate fruity esters provided by the yeast.
The hopping provides a firm bitterness that nicely balances the malt character along with a pleasant resinous, citrusy, herbal flavour and aroma with a spicy undertone. Whilst the hop flavours and aromas are apparent, they do not dominate.
This kit includes malt and hops that require steeping.
Yeast is not included in the kit. We recommend using Mangrove Jack's Liberty Bell Yeast, or you could also try Lallemand Verdant IPA.

**Please still exercise care when handling these and any other Borosilicate glass.**
There is a common misconception that Borosilicate glass is virtually bulletproof and can handle any dramatic temperature that is thrown at it. This is not strictly true.
Though it does have an incredible ability to withstand sudden and drastic temperature shocks compared to your average soda-lime glass, it should still be treated consciously with care.
Cool all glassware slowly to prevent breakage, unless you are using VYCOR glassware which can go from high heat to ice water with no damage.
Do not take your boiled flask directly from the stovetop straight into a bath of ice water. Though some people do this without failure, borosilicate glass is not designed for such an application. Please allow the flask to cool for a few minutes before running under water, before placing into an ice bath; the slower you introduce your flasks to temperature changes, the longer it will last. Going from fire to ice in a matter of seconds will introduce incredible amounts of stress to the glass structure. While the glass may be able to withstand this some of the time, other times you may not be so lucky. If the temperature differential is big enough, it will shatter. All Borosilicate glass will break eventually after a number of heat/cool cycles, it is impossible to give an exact number to determine when, but this is a natural an inherent feature of the material.
Please do not boil your flasks dry or dry them out using a stove. The temperature for drying should not exceed 140°C, which a naked flame can easily exceed.
Do not heat glassware that is etched, cracked, chipped, nicked, or scratched. It is more prone to break.
Do not heat glassware directly on electrical heating elements. Excessive stress will be induced in the glass, and this can result in breakage.
Small Bubbles that are less than 5mm and not located directly on the bottom of the flask is an acceptable manufacturing blemish as per our instruction from multiple manufacturers of glass.

This duotight 8mm (5/16") adaptor is designed to suit the Nukatap Mini and will allow you to couple your Nukatap mini to a wide range of other 8mm(5/16") duotight fittings or be able to attach to the Duotight Flow Control Ball Lock Disconnect. This particular type of flow control ball lock disconnect includes a "tang" at the top of the push in fitting that couples with this adaptor. The combination of the two fittings prevents the tap spinning around while in use.

NukaTap Mini - Wall Mount Shank Kit (Duotight 8mm).
This shank kit is specifically designed to suit the Nukatap Mini taps and will allow you to connect the Nukatap Mini to a cooler box, kegerator, keg fridge, coolroom wall or any other flat surface.
New Innovative Shank Design
Unlike other shank kits this shank kit doesn't use a bulky 5/8" bar stock. The issue with 5/8 bar stock is it acts as a heat sink and due to the fact that most other shanks sit inside the insulated wall this results in a substantial amount of warm beer coming out of the tap before cold beer starts flowing. This means a "first pour foam" effect which wastes beer, can result in sour beer, and ultimately negatively effects the quality of the beverages being served. This new design has the beer line feed all the way directly up to the back of the tap greatly reducing the volume of non-refrigerated beer.
No Spinning Shanks
If you have ever installed a traditional 5/8" long shank you will know how frustrating it is when you use the tap and the tap starts rotating. This new design of shank alternative uses three screws that lock the tap into a fixed position and prevents the taps from rotating. If you loosen the 1/2" stainless tap collet you can still have the flexibility to rotate the tap to any orientation but once the collet is tight interlocking teeth on this shank kit and the Nukatap Mini will hold the tap permanently in the correct orientation.
Easy Installation
Unlike other long shank kits, this kit doesn't require large 22mm hole saw to be used to drill through the wall. As no shank is required, only a hole large enough to accommodate the beer line is required. As a result only an 8mm conventional drill bit is all that is necessary and this makes the installation easier. If, however, you are concerned about the small amount of beer sitting in the beer line in the wall not being refrigerated you can also shell out a larger diameter of foam on the inside of the wall to allow cold air to circulate around the beer line thus reducing the non-refrigerated beer in the line even more. If you wanted to do this a Step Drill Bit is the best tool for the job.
Any Wall Thickness
Other shank kits will require you to purchase a specific length shank for a specific wall thickness. This new shank alternative will fit any wall thickness. If you have wall thicknesses that are less than 80mm thick then you can use the included screws that have "snap off" points so you can simply cut the screws down to the desired length. If, however, the wall is thicker than 80mm you can simply purchase a conventional screw from the hardware store and screw the shank kit to your wall. If the substrate is firm enough you may not even need to go all the way through the wall, so a common 30mm long screw may be all that is required.

This type of flow rate is great for high turnover bars and commercial venues but this high flow rate requirement is not not necessary or desirable for all applications. For compact portable systems, or for home brew draft systems, a slower flow rate is easier to control the flow and further reduces foaming issues due to the low liquid volume stored in the tap body.
This Nukatap mini is also more ideal for pouring smaller doses. For example cocktails where 150-250ml of liquid is dispensed is difficult to control with a high flow rate tap. For portable systems this tap and FC ball lock disconnect assembly is small enough to literally put in your pocket making it ideal for mini keg setups that you want to be portable or that you want to easily fit inside a domestic fridge where space is tight.

Forward sealing taps are absolutely the way to go when it comes to beer taps. The issue with rear sealing taps is that beer dries up on the tap piston. This is not sanitary and as more and more beer dries up in these components the tap can almost glue complete shut causing damaged seals or broken handles (this is particularly the case if it's left for some time to dry out with beer inside). These older legacy design still exist probably due to poor education. The forward sealing design do not have this problem and the tap drains out completely with no beer drying up on the mechanical moving parts in the same way. This makes the tap more sanitary and reduced maintenance. In may instances the price is similar so there is no reason to use a poorly designed rear sealing tap. All Nukatap taps are forward sealing.

Just like the Nuktap SS and Nukatap FC, the Nukatap Mini has been designed with laminar flow in mind. Laminar flow is critical for a beer tap as it means you will pour the beer with minimal foaming and a substantial reduction in wastage. Laminar flow saves wasted beer in excessive foam and the better laminar flow easily pays for itself in a reduction in lost beer. Integrated Seals that are Indestructible and more Sanitary
Unlike other designs, the Nukatap Mini body is made from POK making it strong, robust and able to be autoclaved. The seals are also over-molded from Santoprene® making them hard wearing so they will literally last for the lifetime of the tap without the need for replacement. Santoprene® and POK both have excellent resistance to chemicals such as caustic soda, peroxide, phosphoric acid, lactic acid, citric acid, acetic acid, and all common chemicals sold and used in the beverage industry. The seals internally in are over-molded meaning NO fissures or cracks exist for bacteria, crud or yeast to hide.
Superior First Pour Foam Due to Low Thermal Mass and Conductivity

Traditional long shanks also generally have a large volume of liquid that sits inside the wall unrefrigerated which is not ideal. This new long shank alternative is designed to suit any wall thickness and greatly reduces the stagnant beer sitting in the shank itself. For walls up to 80mm thick we have provided three screws however if the wall is thicker you can also use 6 small wood screws or something similar and attach three screws from the front and 3 from the back allowing you to go into any wall type.
Another advantage of this new design is the tap will never accidentally rotate. Typically other long shank beer taps rely on the hex nut on the shank to be done up tight enough to prevent rotation but if the wall compresses (often the case with foam walls) the tap is allowed to rotate. This new design has three fixing points making it impossible for the tap to rotate accidentally as the interlocking teeth behind the collet allow you to set the angle and then do up the collet to fix the tap permanently in that position.

Steps:
1. Clean and sterilise all equipment
2. Prepare 21 L of water at 30C
3. Add 8kg of sugar or 9 kg of Dextrose
4. Stir until dissolved
5. Add Pure Distilling Spirit Enhancer
6. Add Pure Distilling Premium Spirit Yeast and stir again
7. Replace lid and leave for 10 days
8.Measure with a hydrometer
9. If higher than 990, then stir and check again in 2 days. If at at 990 or below, use Pure Distilling Crystal Clear and then distill It can make 10L of high quality Spirit.
For a faster result or if the room temperature is higher than 30C, use 6kg sugar or 7kg dextrose and leave for 3 days.

Sourced from Tasmanian Whisky Barrels, these whisky barrel chunks will produce top quality bourbon. Batch lots will contribute to product variation.
Directions for Use
Soak 100g per litre of spirit as a general guide and adjust to your personal taste.
- First Soaking: add 2.5 litres of spirit to 500g of Pure Distilling Bourbon Chunks and leave to soak for 6 - 8 days. Drain the spirit from the chunks and filter though a paper filter to remove any particles.
- Second Soaking: add a further 2.3 litres of spirit and soak for 10 - 24 days depending on taste. Drain and filter as per first soaking.
- Third Soaking: add a further 2.3 litres of spirit and soak for 5 - 6 weeks depending on taste. Drain and filter as per first soaking. This third soaking can be improved by adding a Kentucky Bourbon Flavouring.
Sourced from American oak barrels that have held genuine bourbon, these bourbon barrel chunks will produce top quality bourbon.

Gen2 - 2400W Power Station 240V - Power Controller
The new and improved Generation 2 - 2400 watt Power Controller. Suitable for homebrewers, distillers and any other means of power wattage adjustment up to 2400 watt (standard 10 amp). If you do not know if your electrical device can be reduced in power without failing, contact the manufacturer or an electrician.
We highly recommend using this product with our 2200w Weldless Element. We do not recommend plugging this unit into anything higher than a 10amp plug. Therefore you cannot use a 3600w tri-clamp element with this unit. We should also point out that if you do use this on a BrewZilla or Digiboil, that you will only be able to reduce 10-30% worth of power before the display turns off. Once the display turns off, so do the elements.
Please note; we recommend using x1 element only per Power Station Controller. If you are looking to use multiple, please ensure you have multiple Power Controllers on different circuits. If you are unsure please ask an electrician or trained professional. DO NOT EXCEED 2400W WITH THIS CONTROLLER!
