Winexpert Classic Sangiovese, Italy - 8L
Winexpert Classic - Approachable & Easy Drinking
Sangiovese is a red Italian wine grape variety that derives its name from the Latin sanguis Jovis, "the blood of Jupiter". Though it is the grape of most of central Italy from Romagna down to Lazio (the most widespread grape in Tuscany), Campania and Sicily, outside Italy it is most famous as the only component of Brunello di Montalcino and Rosso di Montalcino and the main component of the blends Chianti, Carmignano, Vino Nobile di Montepulciano and Morellino di Scansano, although it can also be used to make varietal wines such as Sangiovese di Romagna and the modern "Super Tuscan" wines like Tignanello.
WineXpert is the world's largest producer of home winemaking kits. The grapes, which are harvested throughout the world, are de-stemmed, juiced and passed through a low-temperature vacuum designed to gently extract the water without destroying the delicate flavour of the grapes. The concentrate is aseptically transferred into bladders, before being packaged into boxes with yeast and additives, and a full set of clear, easy-to-follow instructions.
Elevate your wine by using a varietal specific yeast. We recommend using Mangrove Jack's VR21.
The Classic wine kits contain 8 litres of concentrate, which will make 23 litres of wine.
Flavour profile: Plum, red cherry and fig
Alcohol: 13%*
*Alcohol level based on following Winexpert winemaking instructions.

Although sweeter than described (1 to 2 out of 10) well worth making. Easy, soft quaffer. Great with a bbq. Am making again. Recommended
