A FermZilla replacement collection container with 1000ml capacity. This yeast collection container fits the FermZilla fermenters and is primarily used for collection and addition of hops and yeast via the butterfly valve.
This collection container can also be used for yeast starters meaning that you can create the yeast starter in this collection container directly then attach to the valve of the FermZilla so you can pitch yeast without needing to open the lid. This collection container has been designed to work with the magnetic stirrer machine.
The ports on the side of this collection container are the same as a standard coke bottle or soft drink bottle. The threads are designed to suit the stainless carbonation caps or plastic carbonation caps. These carbonation caps will enable you to purge oxygen for dry hopping, attach carbonation stone and carbonate liquid in the FermZilla, oxygenate wort and are useful for many other reasons.
The clear body is made from Tritan from Eastman Plastics. This heat tolerant plastic is BPA, and plasticiser free. The Lid is made from impact resistant HDPE. Both lid and body can handle boiling wort.

Normal SodaStream adaptors require an alan key to adjust the pin height and depending on how worn out your seal is you may need to adjust this pin periodically and it may leak gas when connecting and disconnecting from your regulator. This new SodaStream adaptor is significant better designed with the handy thumb screw on the side of the unit allowing you to eliminate cumbersome adjustment and it also gives you the ability to turn off and on the gas flow.
This adaptor is used if you have a SodaStream Cylinder and wish to use a conventional Type 30 Regulator with it, perhaps for bbq or a picnic and you don't want to carry your 4.5kg or 2.6kg Gas Cylinder, as it will enable you to make a handy portable system.
Note: Does not include regulator or gas canister.
If you need to change the o-rings on this device here is the instruction manual on how to do this.

Warnings:
Please read the instructions thoroughly before use.
- We will not be held liable for misuse or mishandling of the unit contrary to the instructions.
- Keeping the units out of direct sunlight is a must for all PET fermenters. Sunlight degrades PET.
- Do not expose to temperatures exceeding 35°C and pressure ferment past 5psi at these temperatures.
Please note:
When using this vessel under pressure. You must perform a water pressure check to ensure your connections are leak proof before you fill the fermenter every time. To do this. Fill your FermZilla up with some water, then apply a minimum of 15psi pressure to the vessel. Check for leaks around all Cap / Threads by tipping it upside down, in all directions where there are risks of leakage.
Occasionally these units may come with some small indentations/dimples/dents from shipping, this is just a reality of shipping large blow-moulded thin-walled vessels. But don't panic, these fermenters are designed to endure minor deformations such as this. This was a necessary implementation into the design so that they can withstand some accidental suction from cold crashing and rough handling in transit without compromising their integrity and ability to endure high pressures. All small dents will push out and settle with use and positive pressure and are only an issue and warrant replacement in the rare event they start to show white stress patterns or have damaged the plastic.
Add the optional pressure kit to your FermZilla and turn your FermZilla into a true uni tank.
Uni tanks are conical fermenters used both for fermentation and for carbonating and serving finished beer.
Here are some possibilities:
Fermenting Under Pressure:
First one of the most intriguing uses is to ferment under pressure which reduces ester production and fusel alcohol production. That means that you can ferment warmer than you normally would, even making lagers at room temperature. Most commercial beer is fermented under pressure just due to the size of commercial tanks and the pressure that is created by the column of beer. It is one of the differences between commercial brewing and homebrewing. The lid has a built in relief valve that will blow at 35psi and we strongly recommend you also purchase an adjustable pressure relief valve, or blow tie kit, that allows you to set a lower pressure. It is also always a good idea to have two relief valves on the FermZilla anytime the unit is under pressure.
Carbonating, Pushing, and Serving:
When you are fermenting under pressure the beer is already carbonated when you are done fermenting. You can control the level of carbonation by using an adjustable pressure relief. The idea is that the FermZilla can eliminate kegging and you can serve directly from the fermenter. We love this idea but there will probably still be times that you want to keg. Use a beer line to connect the FermZilla to your keg and enjoy the easiest kegging experience ever. You can also choose to send carbonated beer through a beer filter on the way to your keg. When applying pressure with a CO2 tank also make sure that you have a functional relief valve on your CO2 regulator.
Lack of Oxidation
Because the beer always has a CO2 blanket through fermentation and during any transfers out, oxidation is eliminated. When you cold crash you won't be sucking air back in through an airlock.
Key Features:
• Ferment beer under pressure to reduce ester and fusel alcohol production
• Ability to always draw clear beer with the unique, floating draw tube
• Keg already carbonated beer
• Use co2 to push beer into a keg or though a filter into a keg
• Carbonate and serve beer directly from the FermZilla, eliminating kegging all together

- Mangrove Jack's Bohemian Lager yeast or
- Fermentis SafLager W-34/70 or
- Lallemand Diamond Lager Yeast
If fermenting warm we recommend using Fermentis SafLager W-34/70 or Mangrove Jack’s Californian Lager.
Fermentis SafLager W-34/70
Sensory testing performed by Fermentis on W-34/70 shows that it is a very robust yeast capable of providing a clean neutral flavour profile across a wide range of fermentation temperatures (12℃ - 20℃). Click here to download the Fermentis iPhone app for more information.
Note on Water Profile
The recommended water profile for this beer is very soft with no more than 7ppm of any mineral.
The beer may be brewed using other water sources, but may not have the same soft delicate mouthfeel and bitterness. Rainwater, reverse osmosis water, or bottled spring water is ideal.

NEIPA’s are an unfiltered IPA packed with hop flavour and aroma. Typically hazy in appearance with a soft bitterness and full rounded mouthful, NEIPA are all about hop flavour and aroma.
ATF East Coast Anthem is a homage to the NEIPA. Liberally whirlpool hopped with Mosaic and Simcoe it is bursting with flavours and aromas of tropical fruits, citrus, pine, and some earthy herbal notes. With most of the calculated IBU contribution coming for the whirlpool hops the bitterness is softer than you may expect.
NEIPA’s are particularly sensitive to oxidation and are best drunk young.
Yeast is not included in the kit. We recommend using Froth Vape (Assumed Origin: Boddington’s) to produce a juicy hazy with a silky mouthfeel and great hop aroma and flavour.
Alternatively we recommend using Verdant IPA. Lallemand’s Verdant IPA yeast. LalBrew Verdant IPA yeast will produce fruity esters and is well suited to NEIPA’s. Verdant IPA yeast expresses high amounts of β-lyase enzyme promoting biotransformation accentuating hop flavour and aroma. and also produces high amounts of glycerol producing a beer with a silky mouthfeel.
You could also try Froth Spectra (Assumed Origin: Unknown (London)).Spectra can produce a spectrum of radiant flavour & aroma while exhibiting an elegant ester profile and velvety mouthfeel.
Alternatively you could use Lallemand's New England yeast. Lallemand New England produces beers with a unique fruit forward ester profile, which is sought after in NEIPA's. Through expression of a β-glucosidase enzyme, LalBrew® New England can promote hop biotransformation and accentuate hop flavour and aroma.
Please Note: Kettle finings are not provided with this kit as beer clarity is not required for this style of beer.
