Directions for Use
Soak 100g per litre of spirit as a general guide and adjust to your personal taste.
- First Soaking: add 2.5 litres of spirit to 500g of Pure Distilling Bourbon Chunks and leave to soak for 6 - 8 days. Drain the spirit from the chunks and filter though a paper filter to remove any particles.
- Second Soaking: add a further 2.3 litres of spirit and soak for 10 - 24 days depending on taste. Drain and filter as per first soaking.
- Third Soaking: add a further 2.3 litres of spirit and soak for 5 - 6 weeks depending on taste. Drain and filter as per first soaking. This third soaking can be improved by adding a Kentucky Bourbon Flavouring.
Kit contains:
- 20gm US charred white oak (pack 1)
- 20gm Fresh Jim Beam Barrel Oak (pack 2)
- Gold Medal Collection Kentucky Bourbon concentrate
Instructions:
- Soak 700ml of 70% ABV spirit on pack 1 for 2 weeks.
- Decant the infused spirit into a clean vessel filtering out the US charred white oak (through filter paper if necessary)
- Soak decanted spirit on pack 2 for 1 month.
- Decant the infused spirit into a clean vessel, straining out the oak chips.
- Dilute infused spirit to 40% ABV with bottled water.
- Add the 40ml bottle of Gold Medal Collection Kentucky Sour Mash Bourbon.
- Bottle and age for a minimum of 1 month.
Flavours 1125ml
A blend of juniper and other botanicals giving a unique spicy flavour.
Mix with 40% spirit or vodka and bottle age for 14 days. Pour over ice to enjoy the full flavour.
