NZH-105 is a triploid selection crossed in 2006 through our partnership program with Plant & Food Research. NZH-105 is derived from a cross of a New Zealand bred mother with Late Cluster and Fuggle ancestry and a father, which has been used extensively for deriving good progeny. It is a late maturing selection, with a good yield potential and was entered into advanced grower trials based on its citrus, dried fruit and considerable woody and piney undertones when used in pilot brews.

Sub-Base Malt
Gladfield Wheat Malt is produced from an old English wheat variety that modifies very well, resulting in a higher yield. This malt gives clean light coloured wort.
Wheat Malt can be used in many beer styles to add head retention, body and a wheat malty flavour to the finished beer. All the wheat grain that we use on our Wheat Malt is single sourced from the Birkett Family from Leeston, Canterbury.
Use: For making wheat beers and to add body and head retention.
Rate: Up to 70%

"Budweiser is a medium bodied, flavourful, crisp, American style lager"
Create a clone of Budweiser with this recipe created by Mangrove Jack's.
This kit consists of:
- Mangrove Jack's Crossmans Gold
- Mangrove Jack's Brew Enhancer No.20 1kg
- Mangrove Jack's Bavarian Lager yeast (to be used in place of the yeast that comes with the Brewer's Series Pilsner)
- Dry hops (vacuum sealed in oxygen barrier foil pouch) - 10g Saaz
Brick Road Hopped Amber Malt makes great-tasting beer with your favourite yeast and Brick Road unhopped Malt extract cans (or Brick Road Dry Malt Extract). You can also use it in all-grain recipes when you want only the finest hopped malt flavour.
This can will contribute a gold colour up to 11 EBC and medium bitterness of 27 IBU in 23L, and 1.021 gravity points. It will replace approx. 1.75 kg of golden base grain and bittering hops in your wort. Hopped Amber Malt is particularly good for Amber Ales, APA’s, and English Bitters.
High Protein Specialty Malts
The term “chitting” in malt represents the first stage of germination, where the barley has taken up enough moisture from steeping to start the magic process of converting starch into soluble sugars. Chit malt has a particularly high level of inherent starter enzymes, which contribute significantly to improving the conversion of starch, thus increasing the yield.
Precisely how Chit Malt can improve a beer’s mouthfeel and head retention results from when we kiln the malt; during the early stages of starch modification. Kilning at this point leaves long protein chains in the malt from the enzymes produced at chitting. These remain in the beer at higher levels, after fermentation.
Beers produced with Chit Malts retain higher protein content and these proteins contribute to increased levels of foam-positive proteins and improved head retention. They can also impart added mouthfeel, particularly in direr beer styles like Sours and Saisons.
Chit Malt is a great alternative to using raw adjuncts. The flavour impact in a beer is minimum if used at rates between 1-4%, with subtle green, grassy, raw grain flavours developing when used in higher percentages.
Chit Barley Malt is a great malt to achieve superior foam stability. In our opinion a must malt to use in Sour beers, Saisons, Hazy beers and Low alcohol beers.

A really fine dual purpose hop with a heady mix of floral and citrus characteristics
Breeding:
Released by New Zealand's Plant & Food Research in 1988 as New Zealand Hallertau Aroma this triploid has parentage of two thirds Mittlefruh and open pollination by a New Zealand derived male. Renamed Wakatu Brand 77-05 in 2011.
Selection:
During selections this variety displays an intensity of aromas which selectors describe as fresh citrus akin to freshly zested lime peel. These excellent aroma qualities carry right through from selection to the aroma and flavour profiles in the finished beer.
Brewing:
A multi-skilled hop that consistently delivers from kettle to consumer. A true dual-purpose variety with an enviable alpha: beta ratio and oils profile. This all-round brewery performer gives excellent flavour and aroma shelf stability both in small pack and keg.
"Just a great hop"

Cryo Hops® pellets are the concentrated lupulin of whole-leaf hops containing resins and aromatic oils. It is designed to provide intense hop flavour and aroma, enabling brewers to efficiently dose large quantities of alpha acids and oils without introducing astringent flavours or vegetative material. Cryo Hops® pellets can be utilised anywhere whole-leaf hops and hop pellets are traditionally applied.
Dosage rate: We recommend a dosage rate of Cryo Hops pellets of 40-50% of T-90 hop pellets by weight.
CHIEF ADVANTAGES
- Nearly twice the resin content of traditional T-90 hop pellets
- Intense contribution of hop flavour and aroma
- Reduced grassy and vegetal characteristics
- Increased yield through reduced brewhouse trub

ATF Luminant IPA is a bright and fruit-forward hazy IPA, exclusively hopped with Luminosa for a vibrant tropical character. It presents a light, glowing appearance and a soft, pillowy texture. The aroma and flavour are filled with notes of peach, mandarin, and passionfruit, leading to a smooth and refreshing finish.
Yeast is not included in the kit. We recommend using Froth Vape (Assumed Origin: Boddington’s) to produce a juicy hazy with a silky mouthfeel and great hop aroma and flavour.
Alternatively we recommend using Verdant IPA. Lallemand’s Verdant IPA yeast. LalBrew Verdant IPA yeast will produce fruity esters and is well suited to NEIPA’s. Verdant IPA yeast expresses high amounts of β-lyase enzyme promoting biotransformation accentuating hop flavour and aroma. and also produces high amounts of glycerol producing a beer with a silky mouthfeel.
You could also try Froth Spectra (Assumed Origin: Unknown (London)).Spectra can produce a spectrum of radiant flavour & aroma while exhibiting an elegant ester profile and velvety mouthfeel.
Alternatively you could use Lallemand's New England yeast. Lallemand New England produces beers with a unique fruit forward ester profile, which is sought after in NEIPA's. Through expression of a β-glucosidase enzyme, LalBrew® New England can promote hop biotransformation and accentuate hop flavour and aroma.
Please Note: Kettle finings are not provided with this kit as beer clarity is not required for this style of beer.

Brick Road Pilsner Blonde: A Crisp & Refreshing European-Style Lager
Brew a taste of continental elegance with our Pilsner Blonde brewing kit. This classic lager delivers the clean, crisp character of a European pilsner with a beautifully blonde colour and a refreshingly dry finish that lingers perfectly on the palate.
What You'll Brew:
-
Aroma & Flavour: A clean and crisp profile with a subtle malt sweetness, leading to a balanced, low-medium hop bitterness and a refreshingly dry finish.
-
Appearance: A beautiful blonde colour, pale straw and bright.
-
Character: Crisp, smooth, and incredibly drinkable. It’s the perfect session beer for any occasion.
Your Brewing Journey, Made Simple:
This all-in-one can contains our exceptional hopped wort—the foundation of your great beer. Just follow these steps for a crisp, refreshing Pilsner Blonde:
-
Mix & Make it Your Own: Empty the contents of the can into your fermenter. Add about 3 litres of hot water and stir thoroughly to dissolve the concentrated wort. Then, add your 1kg of brewing sugar (dextrose) and stir again until fully dissolved. Finally, top up the fermenter with cold water to reach the 23-litre mark.
-
Pro Brewer Tip: For an even drier, crisper beer and a lower carbohydrate content, add a sachet of glucoamylase enzyme with the yeast. It breaks down unfermentable sugars, allowing the yeast to produce more alcohol and resulting in a lower final gravity.
-
-
Pitch & Ferment: Sprinkle in the included New World Lager Yeast. Seal your fermenter and place it in a stable, room-temperature environment (this versatile hybrid yeast can be fermented at up to 22°C or 72°F). The active fermentation will typically be complete within 3 to 7 days. You'll know it's slowing down when the vigorous bubbling in the airlock subsides.
-
Dry Hop (Optional) & Condition:
If you are dry-hopping, this is the time to do it. Just as the active fermentation is finishing (e.g., around days 3-5), add your hops (10-30g recommended). Adding them at this stage means the remaining active yeast will consume any oxygen introduced when you open the fermenter, protecting your beer from oxidation.
After any dry hop addition, allow the beer to condition for another 3 to 7 days. This gives the yeast time to "clean up" any off-flavours and allows the hop particles to settle. -
Carbonate & Enjoy: Once conditioning is complete, bottle your beer with carbonation drops. Store the bottles at room temperature for 1-2 weeks to allow for natural carbonation before chilling and enjoying your fresh, homebrewed Pilsner Blonde.
Approximate Specifications (for 23L batch with 1kg dextrose):
-
ABV Range: Brew it as a sessionable Low (2.6%) or a classic Mid (4.8%) strength. Note: Using glucoamylase will result in a higher ABV.
-
Colour: Pale Straw (5 EBC)
-
Bitterness: Low-Medium (17 IBU)

Green Bullet 2025 Harvest
Batch: 25-100
Alpha: 14.70%
Beta: 6.40%
A dual purpose / bittering hop with a spicy dried fruit character and solid finish.
Breeding:
Released from the New Zealand DSIR (now New Zealand's Plant & Food Research) in 1972. Green Bullet is a triploid alpha variety that was bred by open cross pollination of the New Zealand "Smoothcone" variety. The era was one where alpha potential was rapidly being recognised by brewers and the New Zealand alpha varieties were certainly pushing the boundaries.
Selection:
Selection can be confusing with New Zealand bitter types due to aromatic qualities not usually associated with alpha varieties. The Green Bullet, albeit quite high in alpha, also produces high levels of floral oil that complement and balance the piny resinous hop character.
Brewing:
Green Bullet delivers a traditional bittering quality and hop flavour. A flagship within the New Zealand brewing industry and considered a bittering variety for lager it is more often found these days in big ale styles. Green Bullet also carries a solid Styrian spicy characteristic which also finds it at home in a freshly drawn pint of bitter or an Irish style dry stout.
'A brewery workhorse'
Applications:
Used extensively as a utility Brew house workhorse and found in breweries across the World . This "go to" hop is a traditional bittering type that now finds applications throughout the brewery from late additions through the hopback/ whirlpool and dry hopping.
