This RAPT wifi connected temperature controller box will enable you to monitor, track and control heating and cooling devices remotely through the internet. Set complex temperature profiles so the temperature will automatically change over time.

It connects with the RAPT web portal meaning that you can monitor, log and control the devices plugged into this temperature controller box remotely.

The colour screen clearly displays temperature, graphs of future and past temperature settings, and makes it much easier to perform profile temperature steps.

This plug and play temperature controller box has two clearly marked blue and red power sockets for heating and cooling so you can control a fridge or heating device at the same time to completely monitor and control the temperature. Each power outlet is rated to 10amp (2400 Watt max).

PID Included

This temp controller box comes with PID heating function often used for higher powered devices. This greatly reduces the chance of scorching and will deliver better temperature control with less fluctuation.

Temperature Range

The temperature range of this device will enable you to control devices from -20C and up to 120C.

Various Mounting Options

Keeping the units out of direct sunlight is a must for all PET fermenters. Sunlight degrades PET.
Do not expose to temperatures exceeding 35°C and pressure ferment past 5psi at these temperatures.

Please note:
When using this vessel under pressure. You must perform a water pressure check to ensure your connections are leak proof before you fill the fermenter every time. To do this. Fill your FermZilla up with some water, then apply a minimum of 15psi pressure to the vessel. Check for leaks around all Cap / Threads by tipping it upside down, in all directions where there are risks of leakage.

Occasionally these units may come with some small indentations/dimples/dents from shipping, this is just a reality of shipping large blow-moulded thin-walled vessels. But don't panic, these fermenters are designed to endure minor deformations such as this. This was a necessary implementation into the design so that they can withstand some accidental suction from cold crashing and rough handling in transit without compromising their integrity and ability to endure high pressures. All small dents will push out and settle with use and positive pressure and are only an issue and warrant replacement in the rare event they start to show white stress patterns or have damaged the plastic.

Wifi / RAPT Integration

The BrewZilla Gen 4.1 is designed to be a compact single vessel all grain home brewing system that can be run off a single 220-240v socket. A complete turnkey system with a delay timing feature and step mash functionality. Built to make batches up to 30L, it is the ideal solution for those who want to take the first step in all-grain brewing while also wanting full control of their batch from start to finish.

The BrewZilla brewery type has been used across the world and won homebrew competitions in every country the brewery has been sold. It's the most sold single vessel brewery worldwide and can be used for Home Brewing, Distillation, Preserve Canning, Sous Vide Cooking or just as a boiler. Our larger versions can also be used as a portable hot tub!

Some features that differentiate this brewery from other Brewery designs are:

Complete Concave Draining Base
The new base design completely drains out meaning you capture every single bit of wort. No longer do you need to tilt the brewery to extract every last bit of wort. This also makes it suitable for CIP cleaning using our new Low Volume CIP Spray Rotor.

False Bottom Pump Protection Screen
One of the key features of all the BrewZilla single vessel units is the false bottom protection screen. This screen avoids the need for doing a whirlpool and it filters wort and prevents more than 95% of hops and hot break getting sucked into the pump and thus greatly reduces the blocked pump issues that are often an issue with other brewery designs.

Ultra Low Watt Density
The BrewZilla has significantly lower watt density than other breweries. The main benefit of lower watt densities are that it enables you to produce lighter colours of beers that would otherwise get some caramelisation. The ultra low watt density also means you have less chance of boil overs, you get less crud sticking to the element making cleaning easier and ultimately reduces wear and tear on the element meaning even with significant abuse your elements will last way longer.

RAPT/Wifi Connected
The new Gen 4 models are the first BrewZilla that connects to the RAPT Portal (https://app.rapt.io/). This portal allows you to track, record and monitor your brews online. This greatly reduces the need for handwritten records of your brew day as it's all done automatically. The RAPT portal also allows you to see every brew you have done in the past and control the brewery remotely so you can start pre-heating water remotely or simply keep an eye on the brewing process while you do something else. Get push notifications to your mobile phone of when to add hops or start the boil.

Along with this ease of access and control. The RAPT BrewZilla will also allow you to fully customise your brew day with profiles specifically tuned to your style of brewing or your recipe.

For example you could set up your profile to receive certain alarms or messages when you are required to do something. E.g. Adding grain when the strike temperature is reached. Mash-Out Alarm when you're ready to sparge, Salt / Hop additions when you've reached the boil. As well as hop stand additions or chilling instructions. All of this at the touch of a button that is preprogrammed to what you want to do. No more egg timers, no more phone timers. Everything controlled by the one area.

Bluetooth Gateway Device
KegLand is currently developing various bluetooth devices such as RAPT Bluetooth Thermometer (low energy BLE) other sensors which will be compatible with this brewery. This brewery is able to receive the BLE beacons and relay this information onto the RAPT portal. Also by receiving multiple BLE thermometer sensors the Brewery is able to make smarter and more automated decisions on how to control the brewing or distillation process. For example a BLE thermometer can be placed into your coolant water so you get an alarm if the temperature is too high, a BLE thermometer can be put into the middle of the malt pipe so you can more accurately control elements switching on/off to achieve a core malt pipe temperature etc.

Improved Base Design with Easy Access Pump
The new base design means we have sealed all the electronics on the underside of the brewery into a separate junction box. This has allowed us to omit the bottom cover. This significant design change means that the pump can be accessed much more easily. It also means the plumbing can be changed more easily too. For instance you can re-arrange the plumping to the pump to pump into the tap outlet or change this so the tap outlet bypasses the pump. These changes make it more flexible but also much easier to take apart the pump for cleaning and maintenance if required.

RAPT Controller with Full Colour Screen
The new RAPT controller has an easy to read full colour screen. The controller can also be disconnected easily making wash down easier. The controller is mounted in a higher position with a tilting frame so you can angle the screen toward you depending on how tall you are. The new controller module is packed with features and KegLand is consistently updating firmware to include more features. Firmware updates are quick and painless and with a single click you can upgrade all Gen 4 units to the latest firmware to take advantage of new features and accessories. Forget getting on your knees mid-brew, do it all while standing or sitting next to your BrewZilla. The controller can also activate the pump. Meaning there are no toggle switches anywhere on the BrewZilla Gen 4.1.

IEC Cable for Easy Storage
The new design has a removable IEC cable so you can unplug the cable making it more neat for storage.

Improved Lid Handles
The new lid handles are better designed and made from stainless so they are more robust and more ergonomic to hold especially with wet hands.

Two Stage Oversized Malt Pipe
This new malt pipe design is 30% larger meaning you can mash more grains and either make more beer or make higher gravity beers. the new malt pipe also has a two stage height adjustment so you hand half lift the malt pipe and set on the supporting halo ring halfway up. This makes it more ergonomical so you can lift the heavy malt pipe up in two stages but has the second advantage that it makes the brewery more suitable for smaller batches too where raising the malt pipe half way up is preferable.

Ball Lock Beer Duotight Disconnect - Flow Control

Duotight 8mm x Flow Control Ball Lock Disconnect (Black-Yellow/Liquid).

This all new ball lock disconnect sets a new bar! The integrated duotight design means you can connect your beer line directly, easily and reliably - no need for additional fittings or clamps. It is a robust and super compact compared to the previous Stainless Steel Flow Control Ball Lock that has been discontinued due to the difficulty in repeated tooling and overall cost of raw materials.

The flow control ball lock disconnect is made from highly chemical resistant materials with stainless springs and ball bearings - no cheap ABS plastics here - this baby is extremely resistant to commonly used chemicals such as phosphoric based sanitisers and caustics.

Why not a flow control tap/devices?

Flow control devices are good but they inherently can create a small amount of turbulence and therefore can cause foaming. In the past flow control taps have been the only common option. Flow control taps are popular, however they have the issue that due to the fact they are placed right at the end of the beer line they have no head pressure. As a result, any turbulence created can cause foaming and carbonation to come out of solution.

Flow control ball lock disconnects like these on the other hand, have the ability to restrict the flow before the beer enters the beer line so the head pressure created by the beer line keeps the carbonation in solution. Even in the instance that high turbulence is created the beer will be far more resistant to foaming issues. For this reason flow control ball lock disconnects like these have significantly better performance, allowing you the flexibility to adjust line resistance easily but without the introduction of turbulence that creates foaming. It cannot fix over-carbonated beer, but it can reduce the amount of beer line you would need to pour without excessive foaming.

Some of the features include:

New POK Injection-moulded Design - Like all new Duotight push in fittings that Kegland bring to market, all of them are manufactured with polyketone plastic (POK). This aids in chemical resistance, tensile strength, and toughness.
Duotight push in - These Duotight ball lock disconnects already have the Duotight fitting built into the ball lock disconnect. No need for additional threaded fittings. Simply push the beer/gas line in and you are done!
Compact - The worlds most compact ball lock disconnect every manufactured. This new compact form factor is great for tight spaces or fridges where you want to pack as many kegs in as possible. This is the only ball lock disconnect that allows standard ball lock kegs to be double stacked while still connected to beer and gas lines.
Over moulded Poppet - The over moulded poppet design means you can couple and disconnect this ball lock disconnect under extreme pressures of 150psi and will never have issues with the o-ring blowing out.
Tool-less Disassembly - Other ball lock disconnects require a tool such as a flat head screw driver or spanner to take them apart for cleaning. The new caps on these allow for easy disassembly by hand, making these easier to break down for cleaning. It's literally never been easier to remove hop particles from your ball lock disconnects.
Extreme Chemical Resistance - No cheap ABS plastic or nitrile seals. This ball lock disconnect is made from stainless spring and ball bearings, with an engineering polykeytone resin body, EPDM and PP/EPDM over moulded poppet. This makes this ball lock disconnect resistant to extreme chemicals such as phosphoric and acetic acid, caustic soda, peroxide and many other acid or base chemicals which are commonly used in homebrewing.
Toughness - This ball lock disconnect is more robust than any other plastic ball lock disconnect ever manufactured due to the use of new engineering plastics. Don't be fooled by the small form factor - these bad boys are tough.

CLEANING BEER LINES IN KEGERATOR
1. Acquire empty plastic PET bottle (e.g. 1.25L Coke Bottle)
2. Add cleaning solution for a 1L mixture
3. Add warm water to 1L
4. Attach Cleaning Cap to bottle
5. Attach Liquid ball lock disconnect connected to your tap to cap.
6. Turn on Tap with a jug or bucket underneath it to catch the beer/cleaning solution
7. Turn bottle upside down and squeeze (you can pressurise the bottle if you want so you don't have to squeeze, but this is just as fast and easy)
8. Wait until liquid out of tap runs clear, we recommend to wait 5mins with solution in the lines
9. Repeat 7-8 on other taps
10. Empty Bottle and fill with same temperature water, flush lines until you're satisfied there is no more cleaning solution
11. Hook up your beer line and pour away

TRAVELLERS
1. Fill beer from your tap, or if you have a Growler Filler tap or beer gun with a CO2 purge option, use that to purge 3 seconds worth of gas into the bottle (e.g. 1.25L Coke Bottle) to 3cm from the top. Beer will last considerable longer with a purge.
2. With one hand ready to screw the cap on, with your other hand squeeze the bottle until liquid is right on the brim. Then screw the cap on to make a seal.
3. Attach gas ball lock and add CO2 to the bottle to punch out the 3cm at the top of the bottle with CO2.
4. If you only finished half the bottle, squeeze out as much air as possible and fill with CO2.

QUICK CARBONATE
This can also be a great way to force carbonate your beer if its just been transferred to your keg and you don't want to wait! Remember your beer will absorb more CO2 the colder it is.
