The GCA Kit makes accurate temperature control more accessible for brewers. Whether you have a plastic or stainless steel fermenter, bucket or barrel, or even a conical, this kit has everything that you need to connect your fermenter to the Grainfather Glycol Chiller (sold separately).
It comes with a Glycol Chiller Adapter (GCA), heating pad, cooling coil, rubber bung, 4 x rubber bung stoppers, 2 x hose clamps and 2 x cooling connection hoses. The GCA also has wireless capabilities, making it compatible with the FREE Grainfather App, so you can control your fermentation temperature from anywhere.
Simply assemble the cooling coil and bung, and place this inside your fermenter. Attach the hoses to the cooling coil using the hose clamps and then also connect the other end of the hoses to the Glycol Chiller. Attach the heating pad and the temperature probe to the fermenter and then connect both cables to the GCA. Plug the power cord into the GCA, then connect the other end of the cord to the Glycol Chiller. Once set up and connected, the cooling coil and heating pad will regulate cooling and heating as required.
Now everyone can benefit from accurate temperature control and create even better beers!

The Grain Mill Bamboo Mounting Board works great with the Electric Grain Mill. Mount the mill onto the board and place it over a bucket to catch your freshly crushed grain.
This heat insulation jacket is designed to be used with the Grainfather to keep heat contained in the boiler and maintain a constant temperature during your brew during cooler times of the year.
• Material - SBR Foam (11mm thickness).
• Designed for the Grainfather for heat insulation, especially in colder temperature areas.
• Easy to wipe clean, polyurethane outer layer, and machine washable.
This High Performance Cleaner is specially formulated to be used with the Grainfather. It removes hard to clean proteins from your Grainfather without the need for tedious scrubbing. Perfect for cleaning hard to reach places such as the counter flow wort chiller, pipes and pumps.
This is suitable for soft (copper) and hard (stainless steel) metals which not many other cleaners do. It is important you use this to clean your Grainfather as other cleaners may, over time, damage your system.
Instructions
- Add 2 Tbsp of cleaner to 15 L of water at 60°C to your Grainfather.
- Attach the counter flow wort chiller and recirculate the cleaner for 15 minutes.
- Remove the counter flow wort chiller and attach the recirculation pipe and recirculate for another 5 minutes.
- Rinse all surfaces that came in contact with the cleaner thoroughly with water.
- Gently scrub the inside of the boiler with a soft bristle brush to remove left over stains.
- Rinse and drain.

The Thermowell is fixed to the fermenter so that the closed tube is surrounded by the fermenter contents. The thermometer or temperature probe can then be inserted to can read the temperature accurately, without touching the liquid.
A 14mm hole in the fermenter is required for installation. The Thermowell is also a spare part for the SF70.
Includes:

Whirlpooling and aerating is good practice before you pump the wort out of your brewing system. It infuses oxygen which promotes enhanced yeast activity and places the hops and protein back into suspension before the filtering process.
The Grainfather Whirlpool and Aeration Brewing Paddle provides an excellent whirlpool by allowing the perfect amount of liquids and solids to pass through its large blades. Just simply attach to a standard electric power drill via its ‘chuck bit’ styled end for relaxed aeration of your wort.
Use in conjunction with the Grainfather Connect Control Box thermometer, for accurate control of your wort transfer temperature through the Grainfather Counter Flow Chiller. Avoid long lag time and off flavours by using the Grainfather Wortometer. Adjust your wort and water flow rates from the Grainfather Counter Flow Chiller by dialling in the exact wort temperature your specific yeast requires. Requires a 8 mm inner diameter silicon hose.

Green Bullet 2024 Harvest
Batch: 24-239
Alpha: 14.38%
Beta: 6.94%
A dual purpose / bittering hop with a spicy dried fruit character and solid finish.
Breeding:
Released from the New Zealand DSIR (now New Zealand's Plant & Food Research) in 1972. Green Bullet is a triploid alpha variety that was bred by open cross pollination of the New Zealand "Smoothcone" variety. The era was one where alpha potential was rapidly being recognised by brewers and the New Zealand alpha varieties were certainly pushing the boundaries.
Selection:
Selection can be confusing with New Zealand bitter types due to aromatic qualities not usually associated with alpha varieties. The Green Bullet, albeit quite high in alpha, also produces high levels of floral oil that complement and balance the piny resinous hop character.
Brewing:
Green Bullet delivers a traditional bittering quality and hop flavour. A flagship within the New Zealand brewing industry and considered a bittering variety for lager it is more often found these days in big ale styles. Green Bullet also carries a solid Styrian spicy characteristic which also finds it at home in a freshly drawn pint of bitter or an Irish style dry stout.
'A brewery workhorse'
Applications:
Used extensively as a utility Brew house workhorse and found in breweries across the World . This "go to" hop is a traditional bittering type that now finds applications throughout the brewery from late additions through the hopback/ whirlpool and dry hopping.

The signature landrace variety of the Hallertau region in Bavaria, Hallertau Mittelfrüh is, at least to some, the epitome of noble hops.
Complex, but mild and approachable. A mixture of sweet, earthy, and herbal with vivid impressions of new-mown hay, sweet spices, and dried flowers. It's many offshoots and daughters show some of these same qualities, but none have the same range and balance as Mittelfrüh.
Although it can be and is used throughout the boil, it is most prized for its fine, elegant aroma and flavour contribution. Mittelfrüh has been one of Europe’s most widely esteemed varieties for centuries and is practically synonymous with continental lagers (particularly Bavarian styles) and many types of German and Belgian ales.
A 1 gallon (3.8 litres) wide-mouth glass jar with a plastic screw top lid. Ideal for steeping, macerating, or ageing spirit.
Could also be used as a small fermenter by making a small hole in the lid and adding a top hat grommet and airlock.
