Replicate the renowned Lincoln County Process used in producing almost all Tennessee whiskeys prior to barrel ageing. This traditional method gently filters new-make spirit through a bed of sugar maple charcoal, removing volatile compounds and softening the spirit before maturation. The result is a smoother, mellower whiskey with enhanced caramel and vanilla notes once aged on oak.
Usage:
Steep 250 g of Pure Distilling Maple Charcoal with 5 L of Bourbon, Whiskey, or ~40% ABV neutral spirit for 4–6 days. After steeping, decant the filtered spirit to a small ageing barrel or transfer directly onto Pure Distilling Bourbon Chunks to continue developing depth, colour, and character.
Crafted from high-quality steam-activated coconut shell carbon, these 12×40 mesh chips offer exceptional surface area and low dust content for superior filtration performance. Designed with a broad range of pore sizes, they efficiently remove low to medium molecular weight organic compounds, delivering a cleaner, smoother spirit with reduced impurities and off-notes. A versatile all-rounder, ideal for polishing most distilled spirits before flavouring or ageing.
Usage:
Use 10–25 g per litre of diluted spirit. Always ensure the spirit is below 55% ABV before carbon treatment, as higher strengths can damage the carbon’s structure and reduce effectiveness. For best results, stir or circulate periodically during filtering to maximise contact time.
Specially formulated thinner-diameter rods ideal for use in Z-filters and similar vertical filtration systems, where a lighter carbon structure is needed to remain evenly suspended during operation. These extruded and reformed carbon rods feature a highly uniform pore structure, engineered for precision removal of higher-grade volatile organic compounds (VOCs) that affect aroma and flavour. Perfect for polishing high-purity reflux spirits, delivering a clean, smooth finish ready for flavouring or ageing.
Usage:
Use 10–25 g per litre of diluted spirit. Always ensure the spirit is below 55% ABV before carbon treatment, as higher strengths can damage the carbon’s structure and reduce effectiveness. For best results, ensure steady flow and full contact within the filtration system.
Engineered with a thicker 1.5 mm diameter, these rods are ideal for packing filter tubes where a more stable, free-flowing carbon bed is required. The larger size prevents compaction and blockages, ensuring consistent filtration throughout the process. Each extruded and reformed carbon rod possesses a uniform pore structure, precisely designed to capture higher-grade volatile organic compounds (VOCs) that can influence aroma and taste. Perfect for refining high-quality reflux spirits, leaving them exceptionally clean, neutral, and ready for flavouring or maturation.
Usage:
Use 10–25 g per litre of diluted spirit. Always ensure the spirit is below 55% ABV before carbon treatment, as higher strengths can damage the carbon’s structure and reduce effectiveness. For best performance, maintain even packing and consistent flow through the filter column.
A premium all-purpose filtration carbon containing a broad range of pore sizes designed for the efficient removal of low to medium molecular weight organic compounds. These 1.0 mm steam-activated chips deliver outstanding absorption capacity with minimal dust content, making them ideal for improving clarity, aroma, and overall smoothness in any spirit. A direct replacement for those who previously used Alcotec Activated Carbon 1kg.
Usage:
Use 10–25 g per litre of diluted spirit. Always ensure the spirit is below 55% ABV before carbon treatment, as higher strengths can damage the carbon’s structure and reduce effectiveness. For optimal results, allow adequate contact time and stir or circulate occasionally during treatment.

Duotight - 8mm (5/16') Plug
This fitting is used for gas or liquid leak testing purposes with Duotight manifolds or fittings.
Use it instead of attaching hosing to a disconnect which has other leak spot potential.
Suitable for 8mm Duotight fittings.
It is particularly useful for testing MK5 regulators and ball lock disconnects without the need for hosing and more valves.
From: Kegland
This manifold splits one line into two, each with a check valve. The check valve can also be removed if you want gas or water to move freely in both directions.
If you want to cap off certain lines, we would recommend using the Duotight - 8mm (5/16') Plug
Using a thin flat headed screw driver, simply slide/pop the black retainer tabs and remove the ball valve.
The Duotight 8mm 2-way manifold is ready with mounting capabilities out of the box using button head screws. But if you're going to mount it on a kegerator, we would suggest using the Duotight 8mm adhesive brackets (no drilling required).
Not suitable for liquids other than filtered water.
Looking for high quality push in fittings that will seal tight? Duotight are the push in fitting with superior sealing capacity due to the double o-ring sealing design.
Compatible with:
EVABarrier 4mm ID x 8mm OD line
EVABarrier 5mm ID x 8mm OD line
Red EVABarrier 5mm ID x 8mm OD line
Black Lightshield EVABarrier 4mm ID x 8mm OD line
Not compatible with 6.3mm ID x 9.5mm OD line
No clamps necessary!
We do recommend cutting your hosing straight, not on an angle, to ensure the line has a complete seal. To remove the fitting simply push in the collet and the hose can be removed. These push in fittings are suitable to be used up to 100 psi.
These push-in fittings have been engineered for maximised performance in both gas and liquid applications. Compared to other push-in fittings on the market, Duotight takes the double safety approach to all of the connections with two EPDM o-rings per hose port. No other push-ins on the market have EPDM o-rings, let alone two! per push-in connection.

Made exclusively for the Duotight manifolds and Gen 3.0 Duotight 8mm fittings to be mounted to a flat surface.
These can swivel around if you need to mount on a particular angle once stuck down.
They can also easily be removed from the 8mm Duotight side as they simply click/clamp in to each other.
If you are to mount this inside your Kegerator / Keezer, you must do so when the unit is off / warm. It will not stick as well in a moist / cold environment. Best to give it at least 24 hours of stick time before attaching weight / hosing to it.
Wipe down surface with isopropyl alcohol prior to sticking.
Most commonly to be used with:

The Red Reaper Counterflow chiller is the latest homebrew chiller on the market.
Red Reaper Counterflow Chiller (PEX / Copper) 9.5mm duotight compatible.
This particular CFC uses PEX tubing that is swaged/soldered to the copper wort pipe. Not only does this provide a superior method of connection compared to a clamp, but also ensures a lifetime guarantee that the mains water you're using to chill your wort down will never get to the pressures requires for the PEX to break.
Paired with the duotight 9.5mm range, you'll be able to attach your hose / camlock fittings within seconds.
This particular kit does not come with 9.5mm push in fittings.
Specifications:
- 5.6m Length
- Inlet / Outlet Size 9.5mm Duotight compatible barbs
- 3 x Rubberised Feet
- 1 x Hinged Hanger (for BrewZilla Handles)
Recommended Cleaners:
PBW Powder (Optimum 80°C) minimum contact time 5minutes. Remember to change the flow back and forth to really get the deepest clean possible. Rinse with the same temperature water.
We would always recommend to recirculate your last 15 minutes of the boil in your Red Reaper to sanitise it before applying cold water to the chiller.
Using the incredibly pressure and temperature resistant style of hosing used widely inplace of copper in the plumbing industry. Partly due to its flexibility and ease of manufacturing.
The Red Reaper A-PEX CFC is a chilling beast, with an internal copper tubing where you wort will recirculate. and cool down You'll get a large amount of heat transfer from the copper and the cold water passing in the opposite direction.
The typical design of a CFC is usually copper tubing housed within another tube. The outer tubing is fed with a cold water source flowing in one direction, while hot wort is pumped through the inner copper tubing in the opposite direction. The main benefit is efficient single-pass chilling from a rolling boil down to pitching temps. CFCs function similarly to a plate chiller but have a larger overall area for the wort to flow through. The benefit is the reduced risk of clogs from hops. The downside is they take up more space than a plate chiller.
What is PEX?
PEX tubing, short for cross-linked polyethylene, is a flexible plastic pipe used as an alternative to traditional copper or steel pipes for plumbing.
Do not store in sunlight. It will degrade the PEX overtime.
Do not store with StellarSan or any acidic products. It will break down copper.

Brick Road Kölsch: A Crisp & Refining German-Style Ale
Experience the taste of a German summer with our Kölsch brewing kit. This classic ale is the perfect introduction to homebrewing, yielding a brilliantly pale, light-bodied beer with a delicate fruitiness and a clean, satisfying finish.
What You'll Brew:
-
Aroma & Flavour: A subtle, graceful fruitiness from our European ale yeast, complemented by an optional noble hop aroma that is floral, spicy, and utterly refreshing.
-
Appearance: A beautiful pale straw colour, clear and bright.
-
Character: Crisp, smooth, and incredibly drinkable. It’s the perfect session beer for any occasion.
Your Brewing Journey, Made Simple:
This all-in-one can contains our exceptional hopped wort—the foundation of your great beer. Just follow these steps for a crisp, refreshing Kölsch:
-
Mix & Make it Your Own: Empty the contents of the can into your fermenter. Add about 3 litres of hot water and stir thoroughly to dissolve the concentrated wort. Then, add your 1kg of brewing sugar (dextrose) and stir again until fully dissolved. Finally, top up the fermenter with cold water to reach the 23-litre mark.
-
Pitch & Ferment: Sprinkle in the included European Ale Yeast. Seal your fermenter and place it in a stable, room-temperature environment (around 18-20°C is ideal). The active fermentation will typically be complete within 3 to 7 days. You'll know it's slowing down when the vigorous bubbling in the airlock subsides.
-
Dry Hop (Optional) & Condition: If you are dry-hopping, this is the time to do it. Just as the active fermentation is finishing (e.g., around days 3-5), add your hops. Adding them at this stage means the remaining active yeast will consume any oxygen introduced when you open the fermenter, and the naturally produced CO2 will help protect your beer from oxidation .After any dry hop addition, allow the beer to condition for another 3 to 7 days. This gives the yeast time to "clean up" any off-flavours and allows the hop particles to settle.
-
Carbonate & Enjoy: Once conditioning is complete, bottle your beer with carbonation drops. Store the bottles at room temperature for 1-2 weeks to allow for natural carbonation before chilling and enjoying your fresh, homebrewed Kölsch .
Approximate Specifications (for 23L batch with 1kg dextrose):
-
ABV Range: Brew it as a sessionable Low (2.6%) or a classic Mid (4.8%) strength.
-
Colour: Pale Straw (5 EBC)
-
Bitterness: Low-Medium (17 IBU)
-
Original Gravity (OG): 1.038
-
Final Gravity (FG): 1.008 (approx.)
The Brick Road Promise: Quality in Every Can

-
Pro Brewer Tip: For a drier, crisper beer, add a sachet of glucoamylase enzyme with the yeast. It breaks down unfermentable sugars, allowing the yeast to produce more alcohol, resulting in a lower final gravity and a higher ABV.
-
-
Pitch & Ferment: Sprinkle in the included New World Lager Yeast. This hybrid yeast is versatile and can be fermented at room temperature. Seal your fermenter and place it in a stable environment (ideally 18-22°C). The active fermentation will typically be complete within 5 to 10 days.
-
Dry Hop (Optional) & Condition: This is your chance to customise! As the active fermentation is finishing (e.g., around days 5-7), add up to 30g of your favourite hops for an extra layer of flavour. Adding them at this stage means the remaining active yeast will consume any oxygen introduced, protecting your beer from oxidation. After any dry hop addition, allow the beer to condition for another 3 to 7 days. This gives the yeast time to "clean up" and allows the hop particles to settle.

This all-in-one can contains our exceptional hopped wort—the foundation of your great beer. Just follow these steps for a crisp, refreshing Pilsner Blonde:
-
Mix & Make it Your Own: Empty the contents of the can into your fermenter. Add about 3 litres of hot water and stir thoroughly to dissolve the concentrated wort. Then, add your 1kg of brewing sugar (dextrose) and stir again until fully dissolved. Finally, top up the fermenter with cold water to reach the 23-litre mark.
-
Pro Brewer Tip: For an even drier, crisper beer and a lower carbohydrate content, add a sachet of glucoamylase enzyme with the yeast. It breaks down unfermentable sugars, allowing the yeast to produce more alcohol and resulting in a lower final gravity.
-
-
Pitch & Ferment: Sprinkle in the included New World Lager Yeast. Seal your fermenter and place it in a stable, room-temperature environment (this versatile hybrid yeast can be fermented at up to 22°C or 72°F). The active fermentation will typically be complete within 3 to 7 days. You'll know it's slowing down when the vigorous bubbling in the airlock subsides.
-
Dry Hop (Optional) & Condition:
If you are dry-hopping, this is the time to do it. Just as the active fermentation is finishing (e.g., around days 3-5), add your hops (10-30g recommended). Adding them at this stage means the remaining active yeast will consume any oxygen introduced when you open the fermenter, protecting your beer from oxidation.
After any dry hop addition, allow the beer to condition for another 3 to 7 days. This gives the yeast time to "clean up" any off-flavours and allows the hop particles to settle. -
Carbonate & Enjoy: Once conditioning is complete, bottle your beer with carbonation drops. Store the bottles at room temperature for 1-2 weeks to allow for natural carbonation before chilling and enjoying your fresh, homebrewed Pilsner Blonde.
Approximate Specifications (for 23L batch with 1kg dextrose):
-
ABV Range: Brew it as a sessionable Low (2.6%) or a classic Mid (4.8%) strength. Note: Using glucoamylase will result in a higher ABV.
-
Colour: Pale Straw (5 EBC)
-
Bitterness: Low-Medium (17 IBU)
-
Original Gravity (OG): 1.038
-
Final Gravity (FG): 1.008 (approx.)

Dry Hop (Optional) & Condition:
While this malty beer is delicious as-is, you can add subtle complexity with dry hopping. If choosing to do so, add hops (15g recommended) just as the active fermentation is finishing (e.g., around days 3-5). Traditional varieties like East Kent Goldings or Fuggles will add nice sweet, floral, and spicy notes.
